34 inch curved gaming monitor from BlitzWolf – competition for Xiaomi?

Xiaomi’s gaming monitor is followed with excitement, and now there is a very similar model from Banggood’s house brand Blitzwolf. The curved monitor with a 34-inch screen diagonal especially convinces with a frame rate of 165Hz.

Banggood now puts the Blitzwolf logo on products from almost every category, from charging electronics (which is where it all started) and lamps to coffee machines, blender, air fryer and even monitors. Despite this broad range and the fact that not all devices are developed and produced in-house, the quality is usually good. They seem to pay attention to sufficient quality control.

This is a curved monitor with a curved display and a curvature of 1500R. The resolution is UWQHD, which means a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels with the wide aspect ratio of 21:9. Since the monitor is explicitly advertised as a gaming monitor, the frame rate is of course also important. The frame rate here is 165 Hz, which is a bit more than the aforementioned curved monitor from Xiaomi with 144 Hz. The latency is specified with 4 ms.

The monitor is adjustable in height and can be swiveled sideways and tilted up and down. On the back, it can also be mounted on the wall with a VESA wall mount.

Two display port slots but only one HDMI slot are available. On the other hand, two devices can be connected at the same time, and their images can be displayed simultaneously on the monitor in split-screen mode – if you can find a use for it.

To me, it looks a bit like Banggood noticed that the monitors are selling well and therefore simply released their own model – wherever they used the technology here. On paper at least, the Curved monitor is even slightly stronger than the Xiaomi model with higher contrast and frame rate at the same resolution and brightness. The price is also similar.
