If one were to take a critical tone, one could say that Xiaomi’s subsidiary now stands for the amazing value for money for which Xiaomi was once known. No matter what you want to call it, the brand new POCO M3 apparently wants to be the best smartphone up to $150. And the signs are damn good.

The Royole Flexpai was the first smartphone with a folding display at the end of 2018. It served as a prototype, was therefore very expensive and not intended for mass production. But it did spark this movement and forced major manufacturers like Samsung and Huawei to introduce their foldable smartphones. While the Indian market was already being supplied with a POCO X2 and a POCO M2 Pro, things were quiet in Europe next to the flagship.
