For hungry Jedi
It’s a well-known fact that you shouldn’t play with food, but with these cool lightsaber-look chopsticks, that might be hard to do. The temptation to wage an epic battle for the last piece of sushi is too great.
Details
The glowing sticks are made of plastic and have LED lighting inside. At Amazon, there are the sticks in a set of two. The set includes one pair each in the colors blue and red.
The rods have a size of 25.4 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm, getting thinner towards the bottom. Makes sense! After all, they not only have to look cool, you should also eat with them. Together, the chopsticks weigh 86.2g, or 21.5g per pair.
Handling
There is a button at the top of the chopsticks. If you press it, you can turn the LED lighting on and off. And if the batteries should give up the ghost one day, they can be replaced. To replace the batteries, you need to remove the sticker at the top of the sticks.
Underneath is the lid, which you take off and replace the empty batteries with new ones. Finally, you put the lid back on and stick the sticker back on properly. The gadget is powered by LR41 batteries, also known as button cells. The sticks should be washed by hand, making sure that nothing gets wet on top.
Assessment
Eating is definitely more fun with it. Just the fact that you can eat with the gadget in the dark. As a gift for a Star Wars fan, I can also imagine it well. With these chopsticks you can certainly make the one or other fan happy – provided he or she can eat with chopsticks. If not, then it offers to practice with it until you have the Force on your side.
