Doogee BL9000: Battery-Monster with wireless charging & 9.000 mAh battery
An old trend is currently experiencing a small renaissance: smartphones with very large batteries. Ulefone soon sets the world record with the Ulefone Power 5, which operates with 13,000 mAh battery capacity. At least a little more relaxed is Doogee’s approach. The Doogee BL9000 is positioned between two other offshoots of the BL series.
A new offshoot of the BL series
These two other models of the BL series are the BL7000 and the BL12000. The smartphone also fits in exactly between them, although it certainly looks more like the 7000. The new smartphone from Doogee does not follow the borderless trend, screen borders are clearly visible. On the lower and upper side, however, significantly thinner than on the left and right. Even if it is not yet clear how big the display will be, a 5.99″ screen is most likely. But we can’t find a home button in the front. The fingerprint sensor is also hidden on the back.
The back reminds us more of the BL7000, because of the imitation leather look that makes up most of it. Relatively far down is the Doogee logo, at the very top there is a black element on which the dual camera and the fingerprint sensor can be placed. On the other hand, there are no big surprises on the housing frame. On the right is the power button below the two volume keys, opposite we can insert our SIM card.
Battery with 9.000 mAh capacity
Since this is also a real battery monster, the battery is of course in the foreground. A full 9,000 mAh should provide an above-average battery life. However, we hope that Doogee will take a crack at Xiaomi and adapt the software accordingly. We have seen the same with the Vernee Thor Plus, where even an Endurance mode is integrated. We are curious how this hardware influences the optics. Experience has shown that the BL9000 should be thicker than 1 cm. As a processor we can imagine the Helio P23, which has recently also found its place in the Blackview P10000 Pro, for example.

Doogee BL9000 supports wireless charging
Even if virtually nothing has been determined, one feature is already certain: the Doogee BL9000 also supports wireless charging. Qi charging capability has been more common in smartphones lately, while last year it wasn’t at all the case. But it’s interesting how well this harmonizes with the imitation leather back. Actually, a glass back is much more practical.
Too bad Doogee’s still keeping us in the dark a little bit. In the BL series, Doogee focuses on the battery. Of course we are happy that Qi-support is implemented. Nevertheless, the premise of a battery-powered smartphone also stands and falls with the software – Xiaomi makes it happen. As new information comes to light, we present it here.
