Newyes 8,5 inch drawing tablet for $10.99 from Amazon
Drawing on tablets is not uncommon, especially graphic artists use them to input and edit their creative ideas into the computer. They are also more affordable, but cost many times more than conventional graphic pads. If you only want to draw, take a closer look at this 8.5 inch drawing tablet.

The first thoughts about the drawing tablet are probably not too positive, it is possible that there are many critical voices. Hardly more than a chalkboard, at too high a price and with a weak battery. We were sceptical ourselves and had actually already written off the gadget. Now it has somehow landed on our desk, and we still want to give our opinion on it, after we have now toyed with it.
We got the model from Newyes, which is sold on Amazon. There are many different manufacturers, and not all of them have the same quality. Our experience therefore only refers to this version.

In contrast to ipads, for example, the only button on the 100g graphic pad is at the top instead of at the bottom. This allows you to quickly remove the graphics drawn with the stylus provided. Measuring 21.1 x 14.6 x 0.6 cm, it is easy to transport and the 8.5-inch display offers enough space for drawings. How this can look like, you can see on the pictures.

Often you have an idea that you also want to visualize in order to remember it later. The tablet is therefore probably best suited for notes. You can always leave a few short messages in the hallway or in the kitchen, and the gadget can also be easily operated by children. It can also be hung on the refrigerator with two magnets on the back.

Unfortunately, there is no way to save the drawn images; only photographing them helps. At least there is a small switch on the side that locks the button so you don’t accidentally delete your artwork. The battery has already been through several dozen drawings and erasures on our model. If all of a sudden you don’t want to take part any more we will add to this, but so far we have nothing to complain about.
Conclusion
There really isn’t much to say about this tablet, because it doesn’t offer much either. Leave a drawing or message – have a quick look – delete. This is about the range of functions. The pictures show that this can look quite nice, and especially small children are less demanding and will have their fun here.
Whether this is now the solution to avoid paper waste and thus do something for the environment, we do not know. But even if you can’t do much with the tablet, it doesn’t deserve the hard judgments. It is not a professional “graphic tablet”, but a toy. It is well suited for small scribbles in between, and if that is worth just under 12 dollars at Amazon, nothing is wrong here.
