The Nitecore TIP is slightly larger than the Nitecore TUBE torch and can also be attached to a bunch of keys. Consisting of aluminium, the torch is not only very light at 23 grams, but also very robust. The torch is available in seven different colours: black, blue, gold, grey, green, red or silver. The waterproof housing (IP54) contains a 500mAh battery, which is simply charged via USB. When the lamp is off, the battery status can be displayed by pressing the mode button: three flashes for over 50% battery status, two flashes for less than 50% and one flashes for less than 10%.
The Nitecore TIP has a luminosity of 360 lumens via a Cree XP-G2 S3 LED and can be set in four different modes. Starting with “low” with 1 lumen luminosity, via “Mid” with 35 lumen, “High” with 150 lumen and a turbo mode with the advertised 360 lumen. Depending on the intensity of the luminosity, the consumption of the battery increases and the battery life is reduced. In total, the light should last up to 46 hours in “low” mode. For such a small LED, the range of about 74 meters should not be underestimated.

In addition, the torch has safety features to prevent overcharging and automatically stop charging. The holder for the keychain should also be able to hold 30 kilos in weight. If you do not want to attach the lamp to your keychain, you can also attach the flashlight to your clothes or the like with a detachable clip.
