RAVPower 20000 mAh Powerbank for $39.99 at Amazon
RAVPower is one of the typical Amazon shops like Aukey and Anker. So far they could convince us qualitatively for example with their Qi charger, even if the price often turns out a little higher than with the competition. Will this also be the case with the RAVPower 20000 mAh Powerbank?

Unboxing & Scope of delivery
The fact that the prices at RAVPower Gadgets are somewhat more expensive is nicely reflected in the packaging. The cardboard box of the RAVPower 20000 mAh Powerbank is attractively designed and shows us the way with the slogan “Power your life”.
The scope of delivery inside is divided by two smaller, green boxes. On the one hand we have the Powerbank itself, in the other box we get a carrying bag, a 30 cm USB-to-Micro-USB cable and a 60 cm USB-to-Micro-USB cable as well as a manual – so far, so good.
Design & Processing
It is obvious at first glance that this is a power bank with a large capacity. After all, the RAVPower 20000 mAh power bench is a proud 17.2 cm long and 8 cm wide, with a thickness of more than 2 cm. Of course, this is also reflected in the weight. With 581 g the Powerbank is already a block that you don’t want to carry in your backpack every day. Except for the size and weight, the external battery is not noticeable. At most the four LED lights are conspicuous on the matt black surface.
RAVPower was apparently clear that it would be difficult to conceal the weight. In my opinion, this was somewhat at the expense of processing. Here, the decision was made for a plastic material that does not diminish its function but feels a bit cheap. If I compare this with my older, private 5200 mAh Powerbank from Anker, the Anker device gets off better when it comes to processing.
With high-quality materials, however, the weight would probably have skyrocketed. I can therefore live with the compromise, otherwise the workmanship makes a good impression.
RAVPower 20000 mAh Powerbank: the festival powerbank
20000 mAh battery capacity is not the end of the story, but definitely a very large size that will last you several days. If one assumes that a smartphone has an average battery of approx. 3000 to 4000 mAh, one already notices that this is a multiple.
The RAVPower Powerbank is equipped with 2 USB ports so that it can supply power to end devices. Unfortunately, these are not Quick Charge Ports, but iSmart ports. This means it can detect the connected smartphone, tablet etc. and automatically adjust the power supply. The maximum output power is 5V 3.4A, whereby a maximum of 5V 2.4A can be output per port.

If the Powerbank runs out of breath, you have to recharge it with Micro-USB. Two Micro-USB cables are included, one charger is not. However, the maximum input power is 10W, i.e. 5V 2A. Full charging of the RAVPower 20000 mAh Powerbank took 10 hours.
The fact that the RAVPower Powerbank does not use any Quick Charge Ports is of course also noticeable in the charging speed. The Honor 10 with 3400 mAh battery takes 15 minutes for 10% battery. A full charge takes just over 2 hours. That’s not impressive, but when you charge your phone overnight, it doesn’t stand out. Of course, the speed is reduced as soon as a second device is connected. You should be able to charge a smartphone like the Honor 10 or Xiaomi Mi 8 five times completely.
Is the Powerbank safe?
You keep hearing about power banks or batteries in smartphones that explode. So the question arises whether the RAVPower Powerbank is safe? We cannot and do not want to answer this question one hundred percent with Yes, unfortunately exceptions confirm the rule. We can say this much: Powerbank is CE certified and RoHS compliant.
In addition, integrated protection against overcharging and discharging, heat and voltage surges. In addition, we ourselves had only positive experiences with the manufacturer RAVPower in the CG editorial department. If this is different for you, please let us know in the comments!
Conclusion
If you look around Amazon to see what a 20000 mAh powerbank costs, the RAVPower 20000 mAh powerbank ranks in midfield. It doesn’t offer a quick charge, but a solid workmanship and two iSmart USB ports. In addition, there is a good scope of delivery and the various protective mechanisms. However, its pure capacity is the Powerbank’s greatest feature. Especially in the offer you make a good purchase with the Powerbank; but you really only need it for festivals and camping trips. Anyway, I’ll pack them for my next festival visit in two weeks!
