Pretty funny heads

If you search for the term “seed peeler” on AliExpress, you’ll find a lot of them, and some of them are really funny looking. For example, one of these hullers looks like it’s going to throw up when it hulls the seeds. However, this one is definitely the most common. The seed peeler measures 4.5 x 4.6 x 4.8 cm and is available in green or pink. The small box is made of plastic and has a head on the front to loosen the seeds.

It does not matter whether melon seeds, sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds, with the peeler any kind of seeds can be peeled.

Especially if the shells do not come off completely when opening, and you somehow peel off the rest of the shell is super annoying. Then it is better to resort to the seed peeler. The seed peeler must be placed with the head upwards. Then you can press the seeds through the mouth, which finally fall out again in peeled form.

Cleaning the peeler is also done quickly. Pull off the head, then the peeling elements in the form of the teeth can be removed and everything can be rinsed. However, the peeler is not dishwasher safe and must therefore be washed by hand.

Assessment

The seed peeler is a small everyday helper and can certainly make peeling easier for a few people. What I like well, in addition to the fun design, is that the peeler consists of several parts and are better cleaned. The peeler will, because it is made of plastic does not last forever, which I find at a price of $2.50 (~￡1.61/~0,83€), but justifiable. Alternatively, if you have a 3D printer, you can also print the seed peeler itself.
