Smart USB cup warmer with three temperatures for $13.34
No more cold coffee at work? Sounds tempting. With the smart USB cup warmer you can keep your drink warm or heat it up again.
The USB cup warmer is a 13,2 x 11.8 x 2 cm gadget. This is more than enough for a decent sized cup of coffee or tea. Externally, it is in my opinion a pretty chic design, as you have seen much cheaper processed cup warmers from the Far East. This one is also mostly made of plastic, but it also has a glass surface and a simple touch display on the front.
The USB cup warmer is powered by a simple USB-A connection (5V, 2A). That means you can operate it, as probably intended, on the laptop or PC, but also via power adapter or power bank. All in all, you are simply flexible on the road and can hopefully enjoy warm drinks everywhere.
You can choose a temperature between 70/158, 90/194 and 110°C/230°F via the touch display. The USB cup warmer becomes smart with the adjustable drink reminder at hourly intervals. Of course, you can also turn the device on or off in the first place. However, it also has an automatic switch-off function.
The temperatures are achieved by infrared through the glass surface. This should work through glass, ceramics and also other materials. The flatter the bottom of the vessel, the better.
In the sample picture you can see the different cups that can be heated. Milk cartons and bottles for babies are also advertised. In theory, at least, I imagine this to be very practical, especially when you’re on the go. Flat surface, power bank and the milk is hot.
Smart USB Cup Warmer tried out
First, I also ordered the USB cup warmer out of personal interest. After about three weeks, the cup warmer arrived to me without any problems. No extra fees had to be paid.
The device itself makes a good impression, everything is present as it was stated in the description of the store. Only the beep is unnecessarily loud and shrill, but fortunately you do not have to select too much on the device.
The cup warmer has absolutely no problem keeping a hot drink warm for a longer period of time, and the drink reminder also works without any problems. Only the warming up of a drink already takes a long time. A completely cold tea took about 1.5 hours on the highest setting to be lukewarm again. In my opinion, this is quite sufficient, I do not want to use the device to heat a cold drink, but to keep my tea or coffee hot or warm longer, when I am too absorbed to drink again. Throwing away does not have to be and by means of the drink reminder you at least very neatly in between and is “gently” reminded of his drink.
No bargain, but still practical
Of course, we have here with $14 not the cheapest gadget from China, small USB cup warmer there are already for fewer dollars or even more expensive from Amazon. But just not with the additional functions and possibilities. Personally, I have not had any experience with this type of gadget, what do you think of it, do you have experience, would you be willing to pay the price? To the gadget
