Tronsmart Sono Gaming Headset for $26.65
There are two factions in the search for gaming headsets. Either you don’t even look around for anything under $100 and go for brand quality, or your budget is quite sufficient. This is exactly where Tronsmart wants to establish itself and offers the Tronsmart Sono Gaming Headset for about $30. What can you expect for the price?

Finally a simple design
If you have a look around this price range, you will have the feeling that every headset wants to add something extra in terms of design. This results in headsets that shine in all colors and are sure to look good – but only for children up to 14 years. The Tronsmart Sono headset, on the other hand, finally uses an appealing design again – it’s something to be proud of!
Unfortunately, there are no color choices, you have to be satisfied with the brown tone. The headset measures 18.6 x 13.8 x 9.2 cm and, thanks to soft ear pads with air holes, should still sit comfortably even after a long time. The outside is made of aluminum, which is not a matter of course in this price range. The headset weighs a total of 301 grams.
The Tronsmart Sono Gaming Headset can be adjusted by simply pushing it up and the 50 mm driver is supposed to provide good sound. Whether this is really convincing can of course only really be determined in a test. The Tronsmart lettering is quite conspicuous on the upper side, whereas it isn’t visible in everyday use.
A small special feature is the microphone, which can be easily removed if necessary. How useful this feature is, everybody has to know for himself, I wouldn’t know why I should use a headset without microphone. Integrated is also a noise reduction so that your fellow players can hear you without background noise.
Scope of delivery of the Tronsmart Sono Gaming Headset
Tronsmart advertises with a wide compatibility to XBOX, PS4, Switch and Co, for which the appropriate cable is included in the scope of delivery. So you get the classic Y-adapter with microphone and headphone connector in addition to the headset. The 3.5 mm jack connector on the headphone cable is gold-plated, but unfortunately it is not specified how long the cable is.
The cable itself also has a volume control, which can be very useful. You can also mute your microphone directly here.
Evaluation: Is the headset worth testing?
As there is a lot of embellishment in the price range of gaming headsets, only a practical test can bring real added value. But I find the model quite interesting in terms of data, whereby the appealing design is particularly convincing. Other models in this price range, such as the Onikuma K5 Gaming Headset, are much thicker, which I personally find a bit cheap.
What do you think – should we try another test in this price range, or should we generally leave it alone? To the gadget
