Fast remote control car
WLToys is one of the better known brands when it comes to remote control cars from China. Over the years, we’ve had a few of the manufacturer’s cars here. Among others, the A959 is very popular in its different versions, which are fast between 30 and 70 km/h.

The maximum speed of the RC car is 60 km/h, as mentioned. For this, you definitely need a bit more space and should drive on a larger parking lot or sports field. The range of the 2.4 GHz remote control is stated to be up to 100 meters, so you should not have any problems with disconnections. The battery is unclear. Banggood talks about 15-18 minutes of driving time, among other things. Amazon says 7-10 minutes, but the battery is only 1,500 mAh according to the description, whereas Banggood says 2,600 mAh. By the way, there are two different batteries from different manufacturers; which one you get is probably just a coincidence. Everything somehow feels like China shopping in 2012.

The reviews also diverge. While Banggood lists it as a top seller and has almost 1000 positive reviews, you can also find some on Amazon that talk about defective parts after a few trips. Based on the ratio of positive and negative reviews, however, I’m assuming exceptions here.
The car is 31 cm long and can be ordered in two color schemes, red or green-blue. The “body” is a plastic cover that attaches to the chassis with two metal clips. All tires are sprung and the vehicle is also suitable for various types of terrain, according to the description. Banggood writes something about a brushless motor, but it still seems to be a brushed motor.
Assessment
Overall, the offer also leaves a mixed impression. Lots of good reviews, but also a few bad ones; random batteries that are different sizes at different dealers; wrong info about the motor, but an overall good price for a 60 km/h fast car with two batteries. As mentioned before, this seems a bit like the practices of China stores a few years ago.
After all, shipping here is from Banggood’s EU warehouse, so it only takes a couple of days and also comes at no extra cost. And overall, we had quite good experiences with WLToys, we also liked the WLToys 124018 at the beginning of the year.
