Xiaomi 240 Hz gaming monitor for $147?

In addition to smartphones, televisions and notebooks, monitors have also been on Xiaomi’s agenda for some time now. After the published 34″ Curved Gaming Monitor, we can expect a particularly affordable gaming monitor with 240 Hz refresh rate soon!

What we know

Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed this information yet, but since a few days there have been rumors about a new gaming monitor. After the 27 inch monitor with 165 Hz refresh rate, Xiaomi now wants to expand the lineup with a 24.5″ gaming monitor with 240 Hz refresh rate. The panel is probably made by AU Optronics and is probably an IPS panel. While the size of 24,5″ is rather conservative, the 240 Hz refresh rate is a big step. The increased refresh rate is especially interesting for gamers, so the monitor is marketed accordingly. Additionally however still another 360 Hz monitor is to be published, which will be more expensive however.

In the room there is a price of 999 Yuan for the 24,5″ 240 Hz gaming monitor, which corresponds to about $147. For such a monitor you pay at least $300 at the competition of Acer or Asus. If you publish the new monitor like the 34″ Curved Monitor for us as well, we should expect a significantly higher price. As with the 34″ Curved, the import from China could definitely be worth it.

But we’re still missing some more information about the device. After all, technical details like resolution or response time are essential for a good gaming monitor. It is assumed that the market launch could be Singles Day, i.e. 11.11. Until then we will probably have to be patient.
